J. Borges original wood Matrix

Original Framed Matrix by world renounced woodcut artist J. Borges. The Matrix is a block of wood hand carved backwards in order to create the woodcut prints from them.  Once the matrix has been used for awhile the carving is worn down and retired from use for print making. These pieces are so beautiful we framed them.  They have a beautiful folk art simplicity to them that brings lots warmth not to mention the years of history and use behind each piece.
